Lovely and Misfit (Trafalgar Studios)

It’s about Candy (Ed Hughes) Transvestite, 35, terrified of ageing and recently deserted. Candy wants sex with virile young men, but he wants love, too, and companionship and kindness. Hughes is excellent, precise, deeply felt and entirely unsentimental.
